Emma Horsfield exemplifies the saying. "If you want a job doing well give it to a busy woman'. It does not surprise me that she has recently received a first class honours degree in Illustration because I have watched her over the last six years dedicate herself to mastering the art of becoming a no-nonsense exhibitor and seller of her steady output of art works.
With six children to care for therefore this has not been easy but, she has overcome the obstacles and now in her early forties has sold work in USA for mouth watering prices. She is a natural entrepreneur and as a result usually has an exhibition going on somewhere. I am the proud owner of one of her works

I am pleased to recommend Emma Horsfield to anyone requiring the skills of a creative, artistic and imaginative illustrator with a keen eye for detail and design. Emma is able to work to a brief, solve problems, adapt her approach and utilise diverse techniques and styles.
My series of 10 books are educational and informative and it was a pleasant revelation to me how Emma was able to quickly latch onto my own thoughts developing unique characters in colourful, interesting scenes, introducing elements which brought the characters to life. Emma arranged a consistent theme and complementary style and approach to the series which united the overall presentation of the 10 books and greatly enhanced the visual appeal.
Emma has many ideas and was happy to adapt any of her interpretations, making useful suggestions. Working closely together meant that I was very happy with the outcome and I was delighted to see my books come to life. enjoying the process enormously. There were occasions where I laughed out loud at the underlying humour Emma injected into some illustrations and I found her to be very effective at interpreting and representing what I wanted to portray in my written word.
Emma edited, set up and laid out text, supplied proofs to agreed timescales and I found it invaluable that she was able to impart experienced advice with regard to the whole self-publishing process, including copyright and ISBN registration, book printing and marketing.
